RCMSAR 106 has developed its own water safety program for school students in grades two and three. The program features Bobbie the Safety Boat and her Six Rules for Boating and Water Safety. At the end students will learn how to choose the right size pfd and wear it properly.
Four schools in the District are participating in the program this year with the expectations the program will be available to all schools next year. The four participating schools are Parkview elementary in Sicamous, North Canoe Elementary, South Broadview Elementary and Carlin Elementary~Middle School.
