RCMSAR Station #106 Campaign for New Volunteers a Huge Success
The impact of COVID and retiring members led Station #106 on a campaign to recruit and train new volunteers. Since January 2023, the number of volunteers has burgeoned from 21 to 39!
The parent body of Station 106, Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue, stipulates stringent standards of training through coursework and on-the-water exercises. The training demands many hours of commitment from our dedicated group of volunteers. Course fees, fuel consumption, uniforms, and individual safety equipment costs to the cause are significant.
