Commenced in 2021, with funding from BC Community Gaming and the Boating Safety Contribution Program of Transport Canada, Station 106 volunteers began another proactive Water Safety Program ….
To construct, paint, and establish Life Ring Stations across the Shuswap.
Thus far, August 04th, 2022, our volunteers have installed 17 Stations, and plan to have another 3 at least, set up by the Fall of 2022.
Life Rings, a.k.a. Kisbee Rings or Life Buoys, are a life saving apparatus designed to be thrown to a person in difficulty in the water to provide buoyancy to prevent drowning.
