New LIFE RINGS Improve Safety

Thanks to recent funding  by the Boating Safety Contribution Program of Transport Canada, the volunteers of Station 106 were able to construct, paint, and install 10 Life Ring Stations across the Shuswap during 2021.

Life Rings, a.k.a. Kisbee Rings or Life Buoys, are a life saving apparatus designed to be thrown to a person in difficulty in the water to provide buoyancy to prevent drowning. Here is a map and listing of the current locations in the Shuswap –
