Over the winter, we received a 19′ Boston Whaler from the Vernon Boating Safety Station. After some quick discussion, it was decide to refurbish the boat as an inspection and training vessel. The refurbishing involved a new gel-coat, painting of the super-structure, new safety equipment and a thorough check out and repair of its operating equipment. When complete, the vessel, now named Guardian 1, will be used for our new voluntary safe boating inspections. It is expected Guardian 1 will be on the water for the May long weekend.
